Τhis teaser was shot over a period of 2 weeks as a test run to the documentary with the potential to have some shots used for the final product. Finally, about a 10% was used for the final project. 

Mamiya 645 1000s was the girl. Provia 100F was the positive clothing. 

Shooting Maria was a good opportunity to use this roll. It was the first time shooting slide and definitely not the last one. Im bumming that emulsion. 

I was shocked to see that in 120mm pushing the exposure doesnt temper with your colours as it does with 35mm… 

I’ve ordered myself another 5 rolls of 120 slide. Ill be slide broke guy for a while now.

This summer I went to Ikaria. 

An island in the dodecanese island complex in Greece. 
Ikaria is known for its peoples’ longevity and lifestyle. 

I will always remember it as a little piece of paradise and live throughout my year just to the thought of going back. 

It now has a piece of my heart. An island looked over by the 12 gods.

This summer i saw this aunt i have, for the second time ever. 

And she gave me this 80’s vivitar silver automatic film camera. 
Most standard family photo camera ever. 

STILL BETTER THAN MY EXPENSIVE ASS DIGITAL CAMERA.

14 days in Roma, and rural italy did it for me. 

I felt the vibes, I saw the history, I grasped the light and colours. 

Ι clicked the button. 

The easy going, flowing, mediterranean feeling, contrasting the European

dogmatic attitude seeping through mass tourism. 

The photographs were taken by themselves really. 

The shutter kind of went on it’s own. 

Hope it seems as true as it was.

I spent 14 days in Italy, mostly in the countryside by Rieti, and a tad in Roma! This was all for the shooting of my documentary. These are some of my favourite images that probably give the truest emotion of how my time was there.
